Conveying Equipment

Light-Duty Chain Conveyor

The light-duty chain conveyor for solid waste is the first core feeding unit in a solid waste processing line, purpose-built for the continuous conveying of large-volume, heavy-load, and irregular materials. It stably transports lump, bulk, mixed, and various piece goods horizontally or at inclines up to 35 degrees, completely eliminating the industry pain point of conventional belt conveyors being unable to handle oversized, sharp, or heavy-load materials.

Product Overview

The light-duty chain conveyor for solid waste is the first core feeding unit in a solid waste processing line, purpose-built for the continuous conveying of large-volume, heavy-load, and irregular materials. It stably transports lump, bulk, mixed, and various piece goods horizontally or at inclines up to 35 degrees, completely eliminating the industry pain point of conventional belt conveyors being unable to handle oversized, sharp, or heavy-load materials.

The equipment uses high-strength manganese steel integrally stamped chain plates as the load-bearing element, combined with a large-capacity curved feed hopper and a seamless curved transition section, easily accepting direct discharge from loaders and effectively preventing jamming of oversized materials or belt puncture. The drive system employs a hardened-gear reducer motor delivering high output torque and smooth operation, equipped with an automatic tensioning device, chain plate anti-misalignment device, overload protection, and emergency stop system to support uninterrupted 24/7 continuous operation.

The entire frame is welded from Q235 heavy-gauge steel plate, with surfaces treated by sandblasting for rust removal plus epoxy zinc-rich anti-corrosion coating, enabling long-term tolerance of the harsh high-dust, high-humidity, and highly corrosive material environments typical of solid waste facilities. The equipment is highly versatile: beyond its core application in preprocessing and feeding for municipal solid waste, construction and demolition waste, and bulky waste, it is also widely used for conveying various heavy-load materials such as industrial solid waste, mining ores, and building raw materials, making it an indispensable front-end key device for building automated solid waste crushing and sorting lines.

Application Scenarios

Case Study

This series of light-duty chain conveyors has been deployed in volume across more than 40 medium- and large-scale solid waste treatment projects in China. As the first feeding unit in every production line, it handles the continuous conveying of material from the discharge area to the crushing and sorting system.

Representative projects include a 500 t/day MSW incineration plant in Jiangsu, a 1.2 million t/year C&D waste recycling project in Zhejiang, and a bulky waste dismantling center in Guangdong. Since commissioning, all units have maintained a record of zero major failures, completely resolving the issues of conventional belt conveyors being cut by sharp materials and shutting down due to oversized material jamming, ensuring continuous, stable operation of entire production lines. The equipment has earned consistent recognition from numerous environmental engineering companies and project owners, becoming the preferred standard configuration for bulky-material feeding equipment in the solid waste industry.
