The heavy-duty screen is a high-efficiency secondary vibratory screening system purpose-built for materials containing large, heavy items. It handles particle size classification for materials up to 650 mm and is widely deployed across mining, engineering spoil, sand and gravel aggregates, municipal solid waste, aged waste, and construction and renovation waste screening scenarios. It is the core screening equipment for solid waste treatment, aggregate processing, and material classification.
The equipment features an inclined installation structure driven by a flywheel exciter that generates centrifugal force to produce stable reciprocating vibration of the screen body. The upper deck is configured with cantilever-style grizzly bars arranged horizontally in the transverse direction and in a stepped cascade longitudinally. During operation, material tumbles vigorously across the cantilever bars, dispersing and achieving high-efficiency separation. The cantilever bars withstand intense impact from materials up to 650 mm. Oversize material above the upper deck discharges from the outlet, while undersize material falls onto the lower steel mesh or perforated plate screen deck for secondary screening. Particles smaller than the mesh openings rapidly penetrate the deck to complete screening and discharge, while larger particles are smoothly conveyed along the vibrating screen body to the discharge outlet. This configuration completely resolves the industry pain point of large, heavy materials causing severe impact damage and reducing screen deck service life in conventional screening equipment.
The overall structure is designed with ergonomics in mind. The upper screen deck uses a modular design enabling rapid replacement and maintenance, while the lower deck employs a universal vibratory screen mounting structure with external dust covers, rubber vibration-damping components, and an electrical overload protection system, balancing operational efficiency, running stability, and safety. The equipment also features low noise, impact resistance, and a low failure rate, with simple disassembly, inspection, and maintenance procedures that significantly reduce operating costs and manual labor intensity. It supports long-term continuous industrial operation with exceptional versatility and practicality.
Key Advantages
The upper deck uses cantilever-style grizzly bars in a stepped arrangement to increase tumbling frequency and amplitude while offering greater impact resistance and rapid flow-through of flexible materials to reduce snagging. The lower deck employs a steel screen plate for superior impact resistance. Mesh sizes are customizable to client material specifications and screening requirements, adapting to various material classification tasks with high screening efficiency.
The exciter uses a modular design, allowing amplitude to be flexibly adjusted by adding or removing counterweights to suit materials of different hardness, moisture content, elasticity, and friction characteristics. Paired with damping springs, it efficiently absorbs operating vibration, significantly reducing operating noise while keeping base vibration amplitude low for smooth overall operation and low wear rates.
The upper deck uses individually fixed grizzly bar panels arranged in rows, allowing single bars or entire rows to be quickly removed and replaced using common tools. The lower deck uses a bolt-free clamp-style screen panel fixing structure, enabling rapid removal and replacement of lower deck panels without specialized tools. The lower deck maintenance access space is generous, with a simple and convenient workflow that effectively shortens equipment downtime for maintenance and reduces labor difficulty and operating costs.
A professional electrical overload protection system is provided. Should conditions such as overload operation or abnormal current arise, the system automatically alarms and shuts down to prevent damage from overload. The welded screen mesh withstands prolonged intense impact with stability, and the lower steel screen plate delivers excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and impact resistance suitable for complex operating conditions, ensuring strong overall durability and a long service life.
